David Howard discovered his interest in clay while taking pottery electives as an undergraduate at the University of Montevallo in Alabama. Twenty years later, the hobby has turned into a full-time vocation.

David's work is primarily traditional, functional, folk pottery reminiscent of the 1800s. All pieces use lead-free glaze and are safe for microwave, dishwasher, and oven. Four solid glaze colors are available: blue, spruce green, burgundy, and white. A limited number of pieces have combination colors. The stoneware clay body is light tan with tiny dark specks.

The name "Treasures in Earthen Vessels" comes from a biblical reference
(2 Corinthians 4:7.) Sharing the gospel message of hope by transforming common clay into useful pottery is the focus of David's work.
